In Cantabria nobody searches for “a home in Cantabria”: they search for the town, the beach and the bay

Six towns of more than 15,000 inhabitants, a long coast and an inland of valleys. We organise your website with a page for every place where you want the calls, look after the technical side and the content, and measure which searches bring you calls.

Cantabria, from the bay to the Besaya

A small region that is searched for town by town

Cantabria is a single province, and that is misleading: buyers do not type the name of the region, they type the name of a place. “Flat in Santander”, “house in Castro-Urdiales”, “villa in Liencres”. A good share come from elsewhere, from Madrid, the plateau and the Basque Country, with a second home near the sea in mind, and compare town by town before speaking to anyone.

That is why we do not rank for “estate agent in Cantabria”. Every city and every coastal village the buyer names has its own page, with what people ask there (school, journey, beach, what the town is like in winter), and all linked to each other. If you also sell to people who live far away, we complete it with international clients. This is how we split it:

Santander Cantabria 175,425 inhabitants and the capital that sets the pattern for the rest: people search by neighbourhood, from El Sardinero to the centre, and a page for each area with your Google profile kept up to date puts you ahead of whoever only has a generic one. Torrelavega Cantabria 51,796 inhabitants in the Besaya valley and demand all year round: whoever searches here buys to live, and asks about school, train and distance to Santander. A page of its own answers that better than one on “Cantabria”. Castro-Urdiales Cantabria 33,450 inhabitants at the eastern end, next to Vizcaya. Many searches come from Bilbao and its surroundings and ask for a home to live in or for the weekend: your website has to speak about that link. Camargo Cantabria 30,577 inhabitants next to Santander and its airport. Whoever types “house in Camargo” compares with the capital, and a page covering its villages, such as Maliaño and Muriedas, picks up a search that the Santander page does not see. Piélagos Cantabria 26,901 inhabitants between the capital and the Besaya, with coast and dunes at Liencres. People look for a house with a garden near the sea and the motorway, and every village in the municipality deserves its own text. El Astillero Cantabria 18,448 inhabitants in the south of the bay and a direct train to Santander. A page of its own and a well-kept Google profile put you in the search of the resident who wants to sell without moving far.
  • Bay of SantanderSantander, Camargo, Piélagos and El Astillero are searched for together, and the buyer compares four prices. A page per municipality and a guide that compares them stop that comparison ending on someone else’s website.
  • Eastern coastCastro-Urdiales, Laredo, Santoña and Noja: here the buyer who arrives from Bilbao and the plateau looking for a beach carries weight. Each village needs its own page and its own map listing.
  • Western coastSuances, Comillas and San Vicente de la Barquera: holiday homes and historic centres. They are searched for by the name of the town and by words such as “casona” or “near the beach”.
  • Besaya and the inlandTorrelavega, Cabezón de la Sal, Reinosa and Potes: year-round housing and mountain homes. These are small searches won with a specific page for each valley, not a generic one.
1/4 Technical SEO and architecture

A clear map for Google: one page for every place the buyer names

We design your website’s structure with a page per city, another for each coastal village and a complete version in each language. We check the technical side so that Google does not mix up Santander with Camargo, or a house in Liencres with a flat in the centre, and we take what has already been sold out of sight.

2/4 Hyperlocal content

Content that compares Cantabria for the buyer

We write the guides that someone coming from afar needs before calling: how living in Castro-Urdiales or in Piélagos differs, how much the distance to Bilbao or to the plateau weighs, what a coastal village is like outside summer. You sign them, and we reinforce them with mentions in local media so that authority is felt beyond your website.

3/4 GEO · AI search visibility

Let AI name you when they ask about the Cantabrian coast

Someone planning a second home from Madrid or from Burgos no longer just searches: they ask. “Which village in Cantabria suits me if I want a beach and to live here all year” ends up in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity. We prepare your website so they can cite you, with clear data and a visible author, and we measure which questions you appear in.

4/4 Google Business Profile and local search

The Google map, office by office

When someone searches “estate agent near me” from El Sardinero, Torrelavega or Castro-Urdiales, the map decides. We create and look after the profile of each office, with real photos, posts and replied reviews. We explain it in our article on the Google profile.

Frequently asked questions about real estate SEO in Cantabria

  • With a page for every town and city where you want the calls, not a single one on “Cantabria”. Each one speaks about what people ask there and what you have seen in your own sales, and all are linked. We start where you already close the most deals.

  • It depends on where your owners are. The resident of Torrelavega or El Astillero who wants to sell searches for what their home is worth, and if they find you with a serious page for their city, they call you and not the portal. We work on it with our solution for winning property owners.

  • As two different searches, each with its own page. Whoever holidays here asks about the beach, the garden and how easy it is to come at weekends; whoever moves asks about school, healthcare and work. Mixing them in one page means neither ranks.

  • If you sell to foreigners, yes, and written for them, not machine translated. Each language has its own addresses so that Google shows each version to whoever understands it. For the buyer from the plateau or the Basque Country, Spanish that names the places well is enough.

  • The Google profile places you on the Santander map, and the website pages take you to the searches for Castro-Urdiales or Noja, where you have no office. Both can be covered, and the exam of your website tells you which one you are missing.

  • It depends on how your website looks today and who else appears in your searches, so we do not promise a date. The exam comes first: it shows what gets fixed sooner and what takes longer.
