On the Costa Dorada nobody searches for “Costa Dorada”: they search for Salou, Cambrils or Calafell

Eight municipalities and three markets: the capital, the summer towns and the stretch facing Barcelona. We take care of the technical side, the content and the AI optimisation, and your agency shows up in the search that suits it.

How this coast is searched

A long coast and three buyers who are nothing alike

Someone living in Tarragona looks for a home for the whole year: a flat near the centre, a renovation, something with a lift. Someone looking at Salou, Cambrils or Vila-seca is mostly after an apartment near the sea, for summers or to let out. And someone arriving from Barcelona along the AP-7 fixes on Cunit, Calafell or El Vendrell, where the beach and the train fit into the same search.

All three type the name of the town, almost never the name of the coast, and not always in Spanish: there are searches in Catalan, English and French. If you want to be found by people buying from abroad, start with serving the buyer in their own language. We organise the work municipality by municipality, because each one is searched in its own way:

Tarragona Tarragona With 143,649 inhabitants, it is the only large city on the coast and is searched all year round, by districts such as the Part Alta or the Serrallo. The buyer is local and compares before calling: it needs a page per district and a well-kept Google profile. Salou Tarragona With 31,491 inhabitants and PortAventura next door, it is searched for apartments and for investment. You compete with portals and holiday lets, so every page has to say what is for sale, not what is for rent. Cambrils Tarragona With 37,042 inhabitants, a fishing and sailing harbour, it is searched for houses with gardens and for apartments near the sea. A page of its own with the harbour and the residential estates as area words stops Google from mixing it up with Salou. El Vendrell Tarragona With 41,133 inhabitants and the capital of the Baix Penedès, it is searched in two ways: the town centre to live in and the coast (Coma-ruga, Sant Salvador) for second homes. Two pages, one for each search. Calafell Tarragona With 32,624 inhabitants, it is searched for its beach and for Segur de Calafell, with the Barcelona train nearby. Families who buy for weekends and, in some cases, end up living here all year. Vila-seca Tarragona With 23,917 inhabitants, it is searched with La Pineda and with Reus airport close by. An apartment and investment market where the language of the page decides who reads it. Torredembarra Tarragona With 18,237 inhabitants, a coastal town with an old quarter and a railway station. In a small market, whoever keeps their Google profile up to date and has a clear page for every district wins. Cunit Tarragona With 16,385 inhabitants, it is the northern gateway to the Costa Dorada and the closest to Barcelona. It is compared with the Garraf next door: the website has to explain the journey, not just the beach.
1/4 Technical SEO and architecture

One page per municipality, per district and per language, and none that overlap

The coast calls for separating what the buyer separates: one page for Salou and another for La Pineda, one for Coma-ruga and another for the centre of El Vendrell, each in its own language. We take care of the technical side so that Google knows which is which and does not send a buyer from Cambrils to a house in Torredembarra.

2/4 Hyperlocal content

Guides that answer what people ask before buying on the coast

We write what a decision-maker needs: what life in Tarragona is like in winter compared with Salou, what happens with noise and traffic in summer, what the trip to Barcelona involves from Cunit or El Vendrell. They go out under your name and with what you have seen in your own deals, and we add mentions in local media so that authority shows outside your website.

3/4 GEO · AI search visibility

Get named by AI when people ask where to buy near Tarragona

Someone planning from another country asks instead of searching: “which town on the Tarragona coast is quiet all year and has a train to Barcelona”. That answer comes from ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity. We work so that your agency is one of the sources they cite and we measure in which answers you appear.

4/4 Google Business Profile and local search

One Google profile for each office, for the map of each municipality

When someone types “estate agent in Cambrils” or “estate agent in Calafell” on their phone, the map decides. We create and adjust your Google Business Profile, keep it going with photos and posts and answer reviews, including those that arrive in English.

Frequently asked questions about real estate SEO on the Costa Dorada

  • You do not compete on volume, you compete on judgement. A portal shows hundreds of apartments; you can explain which one is in a quiet area, which one has the train nearby and which one makes sense as an investment. That guide attracts people who really buy and brings them to your website, not to the portal’s.

  • If you serve people from the area, Catalan is worth having: some people search for “pis a Tarragona” or “casa a Cunit” in Catalan and do not find your page. The ideal is one version per language, each with its own address, so that Google shows each person theirs.

  • Tarragona is searched as a city, with districts and renovations, not as a beach destination. It needs its own page and, if you have an office there, its own Google profile with the real address. If you do not, we work on the city content and link to it from the coast page.

  • A valuation page for each municipality. Someone who owns an apartment in Calafell or Vila-seca and lives in another city usually starts by asking what it is worth. If a serious page about their area comes up, they call you. We explain it in winning property owners.

  • It works more, not less. The second-home buyer tends to research well ahead, far from the season, and decides when the good weather arrives. If your content ranks when they search, they find you before summer starts.

  • First in the municipality where you already have the most presence, and then they spread to the rest through internal linking. We do not promise a position: every month we show you which pages have risen and which calls they have brought.
