On the Costa Brava, buyers search for the cove and the village, not the whole coast

Each buyer types the name of one specific place, in their own language, and wants a page that tells them what living there is like. We organise your website so that Google understands it, write each area under your name and prepare your pages so that AI cites you too.

From Blanes to Roses, place by place

Six seaside municipalities and, inside each one, coves and villages searched for by name

“Costa Brava” sounds like a single market and is bought as several. In Blanes, the southern gateway with a train to Barcelona, it is mostly families who want a home near the city. In Palafrugell and Palamós the second-home buyer who wants a view carries weight. In Roses, on the northern bay, many searches come from France. A website that talks about “the coast” in general wins none of those searches.

Within each municipality there are names that people type as they are: Calella, Llafranc and Tamariu in Palafrugell, La Fosca in Palamós, Fenals in Lloret. Each deserves its own page and its own Google profile. With SEO between 2023 and 2024, Corredor Mató (Begur, Tamariu and the Baix Empordà) went from 7 to 37 potential clients a month, and 3 in every 10 of its Google clicks come from outside Spain. This is how the work is split by municipality:

Lloret de Mar Girona With 43,000 inhabitants, it is the most populous of the six and the one that mixes the most searches: someone who wants an apartment for holidays and someone who wants to live here all year type almost the same thing. Each needs a page of their own, with beaches such as Fenals or Santa Cristina as the reference for the area. Blanes Girona With 42,699 inhabitants, almost as many as Lloret, but with life all year round and a train to Barcelona. It is searched for living as much as for holidays, and each search deserves its own page, with Sa Palomera, the harbour and the promenade as area names. Palafrugell Girona One municipality and three coastal names: Calella, Llafranc and Tamariu, plus the town of Palafrugell inland. The buyer from abroad types the name of the village, not of the municipality. It is Corredor Mató's area. Sant Feliu de Guíxols Girona A city with a harbour and a seafront promenade, 23,141 inhabitants and life all year round. It calls for content on what living there is like in winter, with the coastal path and the services, and a Google profile for each office. Roses Girona With 20,365 inhabitants, it is the northern bay with France close by. People search “villa in Roses” in French and English as well as Spanish, and by area: Santa Margarida or the Almadrava. Without a version in those languages, another website takes those searches. Palamós Girona A fishing and sports harbour with 18,933 inhabitants, an urban beach and coves close by. People search for a house with harbour views and an apartment next to La Fosca: a good place for a local guide that gives you authority.
1/4 Technical SEO and architecture

One page per municipality and another for each village or cove people search for

Google has to know that Llafranc is not Lloret and that “villa in Roses” in French is a different page from the Spanish one. We organise your domain with one page per municipality, another per village and a complete version per language, and we fix what slows your website down: slowness, errors and pages that compete with one another.

2/4 Hyperlocal content

Guides that compare one place with the next

We write what the buyer needs to know before calling: what life is like in Blanes or Palamós in February, how Calella and Llafranc differ, how to reach the airports of Girona and Barcelona. They are published under your name, and we look for mentions in local media so that authority shows outside your website.

3/4 GEO · AI search visibility

Get ChatGPT and Perplexity to cite you when someone asks about the coast

Buyers from abroad ask before they search: “which Costa Brava town is quiet in winter and has a train to Barcelona”. We prepare your pages so that ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity take them as the answer and cite you, and we measure which questions you appear in and which you do not.

4/4 Google Business Profile and local search

One Google profile per office, not one for the whole coast

The map shows the offices closest to the searcher, and a profile is good for a single address. If your office is in Palafrugell, you will not show up in Roses just by naming it. We create and look after the profile of each office, with photos, answered reviews and opening hours kept up to date.

Frequently asked questions about real estate SEO on the Costa Brava

  • A Google profile only covers the area around your office. Roses is reached with a page of its own, written for whoever searches there, with Santa Margarida, the Almadrava or Cap de Creus in the text. If you open an office in the north, that office needs a profile of its own.

  • It is a very broad search: it is typed by people who want a holiday, people looking for a hotel and people who want to buy. It pays more to work on the municipality and the village, where buying intent shows, and to use the coast page as the one that brings together and links to the six.

  • A portal shows listings, but it has never set foot on the cove. You have. A guide on what life is like in Sant Feliu de Guíxols out of season, based on what you have seen in your own deals, is not something any portal writes, and it brings the visit to your website and not to theirs.

  • In the language of whoever buys: Spanish and Catalan, and also English, French or Dutch. We start with the languages in which you already receive calls and add the others when the searches ask for it, each version with its own address.

  • Many buyers from abroad look months ahead at what they will visit in summer, so the pages worked on today are the ones they find when they decide. And Blanes, Sant Feliu de Guíxols or Palamós have searches all year round.

  • They usually start with Google: “how much is my house in Llafranc worth”. If a page of yours with serious data about their area comes up, they call you. We work on it in our solution for winning property owners.
