Ten towns in a row and a buyer who compares them on a phone: your website has to show up in each one

From El Masnou to Tordera, each municipality is searched for in its own way and in more than one language. We organise your website, write the content for every town and work so that AI cites you too.

The Maresme, from south to north

A coast in a straight line: the further north, the less Barcelona and the more holiday

The Maresme is a narrow strip between the mountains and the sea, with the Rodalies train (R1) running right beside the beach and the C-32 and the N-II behind it. That shapes the search. In the southern towns, such as El Masnou, Premià de Mar or Vilassar de Mar, buyers usually work in Barcelona and ask about the train, the school and the garden. Further north, in Calella, Pineda de Mar or Malgrat de Mar, the beachfront apartment and the second home weigh more.

Almost everything is searched with the name of the town, not the district, and often in Catalan. Hardly anyone types “estate agency in the Maresme”: people type “flat in Mataró” or “house in Vilassar de Mar”. Your website needs a page that answers each search, and becoming the go-to name in your area starts there. This is how the work is organised, town by town:

Mataró Barcelona The district's capital, with 131,683 inhabitants, is searched by neighbourhood and by type of home. It is the largest market of the ten, and calls for one page per neighbourhood and a guide that compares, not a list of flats. Pineda de Mar Barcelona With 30,108 inhabitants, it mixes people who live there all year with people looking for an apartment for the summer. The page has to separate the two searches, and a well-kept Google profile puts you on the town's map. Premià de Mar Barcelona With 29,431 inhabitants, it is searched mostly from Barcelona and compared with the neighbouring towns. The content that wins explains the train, the schools and what changes when you move from the city. El Masnou Barcelona The closest of the ten to Barcelona, with a marina and sea views. Whoever searches for it compares square metres and journey time, and a guide with those figures brings you visits that a portal listing cannot. Vilassar de Mar Barcelona A residential town, with 21,227 inhabitants. It is searched by its own name and often in Catalan, and a page written for it, with the neighbourhood and the railway station, answers what people ask. Calella Barcelona Hotels and apartments beside the seafront promenade. Holiday searches drown out buying ones, so your page has to make it clear from the first headline that you sell homes, not stays. Malgrat de Mar Barcelona The northern end of the coast, with a long beach and many holiday apartments. The buyer from abroad searches for it in other languages and compares it with Blanes, already in the province of Girona. Arenys de Mar Barcelona A harbour, an old town and houses with character. It is searched for living and for weekends away from Barcelona: two different searches that call for two pages. Canet de Mar Barcelona With 15,198 inhabitants and streets with modernist heritage, it attracts people looking for a house with history. Content that shows those houses and their surroundings answers that search. Tordera Barcelona On the northern edge of the district, facing Girona. With 19,039 inhabitants, it is searched by its own name and compared with Malgrat de Mar and Blanes. A page of its own gives your website a place in that comparison.
1/4 Technical SEO and architecture

Ten towns, one domain and no pages competing with each other

With so many municipalities side by side, a badly organised website ends up with two pages fighting over “house in Vilassar de Mar”. We create one page per municipality and another for each area the buyer names, each in its own language and with its own address, and we take care of the technical side so that Google knows which one to show.

2/4 Hyperlocal content

Guides that make the comparison the buyer makes in their head

Whoever looks at the Maresme compares towns: living in El Masnou or in Premià de Mar, the seafront or the streets behind it, how long the train to Barcelona takes. We write it with what you have seen in your deals, you sign it and we back it with mentions in local media.

3/4 GEO · AI search visibility

Get named by AI when people ask where to live near Barcelona with the sea close by

Many queries are no longer a search but a whole question put to ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity: “town in the Maresme with a train to Barcelona and a beach, to live in with children”. We prepare your content so that it is one of the answers, and we measure which ones you appear in.

4/4 Google Business Profile and local search

Your Google profile, on the map of every town where you have an office

Whoever searches “estate agency near me” from a coastal town decides on the map. We create and optimise your Google Business Profile, with photos, posts and answered reviews, and keep it alive. And we make sure each office shows up on the map of its own area.

See how you show up in Mataró and the rest of the coast with your website:

Frequently asked questions about real estate SEO in the Maresme

  • Yes, if the website has pages of its own for those towns and the content says something that only someone working there would know. The Google profile stays tied to your office, but the searches that reach the website do not depend on where you are. We start with Mataró and extend northwards once that page ranks.

  • If you want the buyer from here, yes. Many locals search in Catalan and many others in Spanish, and a complete version in each language, with its own address, lets Google show each of them theirs. A half translation does not. The English one opens you up to people buying from abroad, above all towards the north of the coast.

  • You do not win by repeating their listing but by saying what they do not know: which neighbourhood suits which family, what changes between living a step from the train or up the hillside, what you have seen on your viewings. That page is yours, and it takes whoever reads it to your website and your phone.

  • It is a very common profile on this coast: they inherit or keep an apartment they only remember now and then. When they decide to sell, they look up what it is worth. If your website has a clear valuation for each town, you find them before anyone else does. That is the work of winning property owners.

  • Yes. Grandiora, a luxury agency in Barcelona and the Maresme, multiplied its contacts from owners by five in 2025, over 12 months, with ads and content for the luxury owner. The same idea, writing for the owner who wants to sell, is what we apply to the SEO of each town.

  • By giving each one a different purpose: in one, homes to live in all year round; in the other, the apartment near the beach, with its neighbourhoods and streets. And by linking them to each other with care, so that Google understands they are sister pages, not repeated ones.
